During this experience, I was able to learn more about the many different styles of printmaking and how develop my composition through additive or subtractive processes. I created original art while exploring these different processes and creates scenes mostly nature related. I was able to develop skills, in making linoleum stamps, collagraph stamps, and Styrofoam stamps. Along with that I was able familiarize myself with blending different ink colors using a brayer and learned that they take a lot longer than regular paint to dry - around 24 hours.I solved problems when dealing with the printing press by learning how to make it roll over the collagraph properly and not damage the press. while working with the linoleum, I really enjoyed carving out my design it was like carving wood. The Styrofoam stamp worked a lot like the linoleum's concept for designing a printmaking stamp in that you have to subtract or carve out and mark the surface so that your design is shown by ink only showing up on parts that are not etched.
